Yes, sure it does.
But when I have a lot of tabs and windows open and I restart firefox it will 
send new requests for all those pages again.
This causes new traffic and takes much time.
Restarting polipo is much quicker - even though it causes disruption to other 
users.

Thanks. I did not know that. So I guess I have to find out which setting this 
is and try to change it.
