I'm having trouble getting uploads to work through polipo running as a
local proxy.

As a very simple and reproducible test, I run polipo locally, point my
browser (and/or system settings) at it, and try to upload a large
attachment (~13MB) to Gmail. I'm doing this on Windows; I've tried Firefox
and Chrome; I've tried both the simple and advanced Gmail attachment
uploading; I've tried 1.0.4, 1.0.4.1, and the github head.

Here's what I see:
% ./polipo.exe proxyPort=8080 logLevel=0xFF
DNS: couldn't open /etc/resolv.conf: No such file or directory
Disabling disk cache: No such file or directory
Disabling local tree: No such file or directory
Established listening socket on port 8080.
DNS: recv failed: Connection reset by peer
Falling back to using system resolver.
Couldn't write to server: Software caused connection abort
Couldn't read from server: Software caused connection abort
Couldn't read from client: Software caused connection abort
Discarded all objects, 1 + 0 objects left (1 chunks and 146 atoms used).

It usually fails immediately, but sometimes gets towards 10MB.

Any suggestions/help?

Thanks in advance.

Adam
