My comment:

Bill Keller's offenses have been radically more serious than any committed by Howell Raines.  This is an entirely different level of offense, one which has strongly contributed to the catastrophe in Iraq, including the deaths and injuries of many thousands of human beings, the pouring down the drain of hundreds of billions of dollars, and the distraction of American attention and resources away from important pressing problems.  These are big league criminal offenses which will be forever a stain on the reputation of the New York Times.
