I don't know who you "scholars" are with your endless quibbling on one side of the coin and your lovey dovey lip service on the other, but I'm going to seize the occasion to offer my two cents worth on Moussaoui. Hollywood has no problem creating perfect doubles with latex masks. Mel Brooks' "High Anxiety" has a scene demonstrating this. However, with the courtroom secrecy of today, just a close look-alike is probably all they're using, as they did in the phony bin laden videos. The media is clearly a co-conspirator in the big lies reported in current events. It is highly doubtful to me that Moussaoui is still alive. He was defending himself, and had the federales by the balls and they knew it. His mother is quoted in the media as wailing: "That is not Zacharias!" but the American public is so full of psychobabble swill that this goes right past them unnoticed. A comparable example was the alleged unabomber Theodore Kasinski. After allowing his countrymen, led by his own natural brother, to lay all these false accusations in his lap, he finally decided to fight back and fired his lawyer. Within days, the government claimed he was trying to commit suicide. Within a few more days, they claimed he had now decided to plead guilty. The Kasinski scenario just described was reported in all the media. I find it incredible that a highly educated man would have enough self confidence to fire his lawyer just before cracking up.
