Hey Mike,

Well, you have now joined the ranks of Political Amazon, in once again
spreading false, misleading, vicious lies about Governor Palin.

For the record, here is the video tape that so many individuals have
misquoted. Governor Palin never said that our troops invading Iraq was
God's will. Your misstatement, as well as others that have trashed Governor
Palin in this group, and the Group, "Coalition For Free Thought In Media"
have stated previously are disproved by the actual videos. At 5:45 of the
video, here is what Governor Palin actually stated:

(Q)"Pray for our military. He's [Palin's son Trask] going to be deployed in
September to Iraq. *Pray for our military men and women who are striving to
do also what is right for this country – that our leaders, our national
leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God. That is what we
have to make sure we are praying for, that there is a plan and that that
plan is God's plan."*

Governor Palin never "described the building of a $30 billion natural gas
pipeline in Alaska as "God's will," which she would work to carry out as
governor." More fictitious misstatements by you Mike. Here is what
Governor Palin actually said:

(Q)"I can do my part, like doing things like working really really hard, to
get a natural gas pipeline, about a 30 billion dollar project that's gonna
create a lot of jobs for a lot of Alaskans cause there will be a lot of
energy flowing through here, and pray about that also. I think God's will
has to be done, in unifying people and companies in getting that gas line
built so pray for that..."

These statements were made in a Church, to a Church congregation, and I find
both of the comments refreshing.

=====

With regard to Governor Palin writing or supporting some kind of
discriminatory legislation against Gays, once again, more lies misstatements
and untruthfulness on your part there Mike. Despite the fact that the good
citizens of Alaska voted in a Constitutional Amendment which banned same sex
marriages; and despite the fact that the Alaskan legislature voted
overwhelmingly to ban benefits to same sex couples, Governor Palin vetoed
the bill.....At least, those are the facts:

(Q)"[I]n 1998, Alaska voters passed "a constitutional amendment banning
same-sex marriages....."

"In November 2006, the Alaska House and Senate passed HB4001, an "Act
prohibiting the commissioner of administration from adopting, allowing
become law, or implementing regulations that grant or extend
employment-related benefits to same-sex partners of state employees and
members of the state retirement systems unless expressly authorized by
statute."

Palin vetoed the bill and in a December 28, 2006, release explained: "The
Department of Law advised me that this bill, HB4001, is unconstitutional
given the recent Court order of December 19th, mandating same-sex benefits.
With that in mind, signing this bill would be in direct violation of my oath
of office. ... "

Hey Mike, don't you think that you need acknowledge that you have in fact,
spread mistruths, and correct the record here, in this thread?

Respectfully,
