Mike; be gentle with these conservatives, three weeks before the election, their entire program has gone down in flames. Not because of anything that liberals have done, but because of structural problems in the system. Who ever wins the election is not going to have an easy ride, after they move to Washington.
Their problem is that they trot out the same silly platform year after year after year, without first making sure that it has not rotted in the mean time. The unfortunate part is that liberals will suffer too.
