It's a matter of taste, but I will agree that between Aerosmith and Van Halen, those two have to be Numbers One And Two, as far as "*American Rock & Roll bands*" go. I tend to agree that Aerosmith might edge Van Halen, strictly from a longevity standpoint, but Van Halen is once again cranking out tunes with the (almost) original lineup.....
