*Nope, We the People didn't buy it. It's still treason.*
Now that a full day and a news cycle has gone by in the 5 for 1 completely
lopsided trade with the Taliban, some things are coming into focus that low
information voters are going to miss, but the rest of us shouldn't:
*As far as this White House is concerned, Congress is irrelevant.* Not
that we all didn't know that given the dictatorial nature of the Obama
Regime, even when using Congress to ram transformational laws through in
the first two years of Obama's reign, but blatantly flaunting national
security laws that even my dogs understand is going to end badly for this
country? Does Nero or Caligula mean anything? (Which, of course, might be
the point.)
*Obama may not be able to close Guantanamo Bay, but he is going to empty
it.* Five for one deal to "bring home" a deserter who mistook the U.S.
Army for the Peace Corps and releases the worst of the terrorist prisoners
at the hated Gitmo back into the wild...somehow, it's doubtful that this is
the last of these sorts of deals given that nothing in law is going to make
it through Congress before January, and then only if Republicans win the
Senate.
*Getting one scandal out of the headlines by causing another one is the new
norm - which means there is something else out there. * This entire
prisoner trade incident does not add up. Just like Benghazi, Fast and
Furious, wiretapping journalists, not knowing of the systemic fraud at the
VA, just about everything Kathleen Sebelius was up to, NSA abuses...want to
get rid of one scandal? Put another one out there. At a certain point,
the people will quit paying attention, and the regime can pull something
even worse. (Just wait until the carbon hoax is finally put to rest after
it bankrupts us.)
*Double-crossing the CIA and American troops is Obama's modus operandi. * (Or
Valerie Jarrett's. Haven't quite figured how to prove that yet, though.)
It took decades to build the capability of the people who know all the
dirty secrets of just how dangerous the world really is. THEY were the
ones who worked to take the prisoners at Gitmo out of the terrorist game.
It's THEIR work that's being destroyed. Not that this White House cares.
*The White House publicity spin machine has learned from their mistakes.*
Despite the number of us out here in the fruited plain who were otherwise
occupied with Church and weekend plans, Susan Rice and Chuck Hagel were
dispatched to defend the move to the Sunday morning talk shows. Put the
story out on a Saturday, and the media will drop whatever else they've got
going and cover it. On the Sunday morning talk shows. This time it sounds
like the talking points were in sync. (There might be a scapegoat later.
We'll see.) By-product of having John Podesta, the great leftist fixer,
on staff? (Oops, did I say that?)
*In order to keep the Republic in any recognizable form, winning the Senate
BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE is imperative. * That means vote for the Republican
candidate this November regardless of whether they are conservative enough
or not. Now that Obama has pretty much declared that there is no check or
balance on the power he wields (true or not, without some sort of force
this is what we've got. Law doesn't matter at this point), the only answer
other than, say, a bolt of lightning, is impeachment and trial. Harry Reid
isn't going to do it, even if this trade was pretty obviously treason. (We
used to hang traitors.)
Anyone with an ounce of sense knows that this weekend's deal with the
Taliban brokered by Qatar was more in line with a surrender to the world's
terrorists. The terrorist ties in that part of the world are entirely too
deep to trust that one itty bitty tiny country can hold the line against
some of the bigger players in the Middle East.
We the American people have not been dumbed down so much that we are going
to believe that.
