The mainstream news media has completely ignored in this political campaign John McCain's well known mob connections. Attention has been payed to Senator Obama's casual acquaintance with William Ayers, who once donated $200 to one of his campaigns and who was never convicted of anything. But John McCain was a close friend of a convicted felon and that convicted felon's wealth has propelled McCain's political career for 26 years. That convicted felon was Jim Hensley, McCain's father in law. Upon returning from Vietnam John McCain discovered that his wife and mother of his children had been crippled in a car accident. Never mind that McCain himself was crippled from his time in Vietnam, McCain decided to trade in his 40 year old wife for two 20s.
While still married, McCain began dating and having an affair with rich Arizona socialite Cindy Hensley. Jim Hensley had earlier divorced his first wife and married another much younger woman. So McCain met Hensley and they immediately hit it off. McCain has understandably called Hensley a "role model." Hensley had largely disinherited the daughter of his first wife and left her out of his will, giving his entire multi-million dollar fortune to Cindy. Hensley had earlier been convicted of federal liquor violations, felonies, in 1948 and received a six month suspended sentence while his brother went to prison for a year for the same thing. And these guys were working for billionaire Kemper Marley, known for his Mafia ties. Kemper Marley controlled all the politicians in Arizona, Republican and Democrat alike. He had had close ties with former Republican Senator Barry Goldwater, and John McCain later took Goldwater's senate seat. Arizona has become the capital of the Mafia in recent years, with literally hundreds of Mafia figures moving to Arizona in and carrying on their illegal activities there. So John McCain divorced his first wife, married Cindy, and mob money has propelled his political career ever since.
