I don't really have a problem using tax payer funds to help homeless people but quite frankly unless these folks are taking care of children it's not that hard of a life. As Keith said they winter in the south and live a pretty free life. Does anyone realize how many government employees at all levels are redundant to the nth degree. The feds gave there selves away during the shut down. I will give an example. During the shutdown all federal employees were furloughed except essential personel. The EPA has 16,000 employees all were laid off but 1,600 roughly 10 percent so let's say plus or minus a few percent this was typical across the board. Now I ask was anyone here effected buy the shutdown? I can't name anyone. My point being that if the government ran with 10 percent plus or minus a few percent working 8 to 10 hour days then with a full compliment these people only need to be productive 30 to 45 minutes a day. That's why the Republicans aren't willing to force a shutdown.
