wncs, I doubt he'd be sad with all the focus on skin color. After all, color of skin was very important to MLK, but only in the sense that is should never be a barrier. So in effect, Obama being black is very important because of what he's achieved. The political version of Jackie Robinson. Of course, character and success is also vital, but that will take a little longer to be properly recognized - and earned. Just ask Jackie.
