Billy Graham denies he is a Mason, but why did a former Mason who dropped out after he converted to Christianity, Jim Shaw, claim that Billy Graham attended the members only meeting where he was initiated into the 33rd degree in Washington D.C? See http://www.geocities.com/endtimedeception/billy.htm We know that Graham employs numerous Masons in his Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and he never has preached against lodge membership as far as I know. Many thinks the lodge is modern day Baal worship. There are many reasons a Christian shouldn't be a Mason. Masonry promotes pride and Christians are to be humble. Christians are not to take oaths "lest ye fall into condemnation." James 5:12. Masons and similar groups take oaths at each of their degrees. Masons promote partiality. They instruct members to prefer Masons in all business dealings over non-Masons. The Bible teaches that "if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin." James 2:9. "He that committeth sin is of the devil," the Bible says in 1 John 3:9. We should pray for Graham and the numerous other Masons who have infiltrated our churches in recent years to confess and forsake this sin.
