It is fact that it was the liberals in the
Clinton era ( his first four years ) with a democrat majority who
voted to allow moneys to be given to people they knew could not afford
to make payments on homes even at low rates. The banks were forced by
government through Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae to make loans they knew
they could never pay back. This huge burden was pushed onto the
markets to the eventual cost of Banks and their customers. Though
greed from some Corporate and Market entities did take form it was the
sub-prime mortgage industry under Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Frank
Raines that caused not only economic meltdown in the U.S. but
throughout the world. This was a rip off by the Dem's in an attempt to
give the " sponge monkey " organizations ACORN, SEIU and their
affiliates moneys at the expense of tax payers. Yet fools like you and
your ilk keep voting in people like Frank & Dodd. Then you try to put
the blame only on certain entities but will not include the actual
problem Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. Even to this day they keep coming to
the well for money to feed their " sponge monkey's ". Just last week
they came for another 10.5 billion. Remember too that even " illegal
alien immigrants " are benefiting from this money grab and they are
not even citizens of this country. Yet they are allowed to sponge off
our tax dollars.
