No, I'm an old lady. 44, but, and I'm ashamed to admit this, because
of our current political climate, and the constant accusations of
being a racist and so on, I decided I needed to not just take what I
knew to be true based on my public school education, but research the
facts myself.

That's one difference between a liberal and a conservative.  The
liberals are told what to believe and who they are, because of the
constant accusations, conservatives are always self-evaluating.
Asking themselves, Am I racist?  NO.  Am I selfish?  NO.  Am I a good
person?  YES.  So, we know exactly who we are, what we believe and why
we believe it.  And, in my opinion, we are the better for it.
