Hagel's victory in the general election, invariably referred to as an "upset," handed the seat to the G.O.P. for the first time in eighteen years. ---------------------------------------- Consider the probability that the polling was wrong, and deliberately so. The uber liberal Boston Globe had Martha Coakley up by 19 points over Scott Brown the weekend before the election. Didn't quite work out, and that seat was held by the same dem for nigh FIFTY years. Deliberate to help Coakley, or the number one paper in New England, and child of the NY Times, was less competent than a second grader? Pretty obvious.
