As you may know, our numerous Prison Art Gallery sales outlets
feature the work of over 500 imprisoned artists and our website features
free books by imprisoned authors. We want to send individually written
seasonal cards to each of them but can only do so with your help.
Here's a holiday project you can do in the comfort of your home or office.
It's as easy as one-two-three.
1. Send us an email stating you want to participate in this project and we
will send you the names and addresses of prisoners (minimum of 10).
2. Place each name and address on an envelope (you can use our return
address or your own) and insert your favorite holiday card with whatever
message you wish.
3. Download and print the resource list we will send you as a two-page Word
document so that you can insert this valuable information in your envelope
as a holiday gift, which will be greatly appreciated by imprisoned artists
(it includes legal resources, books for prisoners, etc.)
Please help us remember these forgotten prisoners during this joyous time

Our next meeting of volunteers to review new inmate art and
manuscripts and answer letters from prisons across America takes place on
Wednesday, December 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the West End Library, 1101
24th St NW, Washington, DC 20037. (The location is close to one of our
prison art sales outlets, the Watergate Gallery in the historic
Watergate complex.)

are businesses or organizations willing to accept our prison art on
consignment. This is an effective way to educate the public about the
talent and humanity of men and women in prison, 95% of whom will someday

In addition to selling prison art in our retail outlets and offering the
art to organizations and businesses around the world to sell on
consignment, we provide the names and addresses of our imprisoned artists
to anyone who wishes to use their artistic services. This is ideal for
individuals, nonprofits and entrepreneurs who have a need for art or
graphics of any type, including wall decorations, logos, brochure and
website illustrations, or custom-made portraits from photos. Whatever
you desire in the way of art, our artists can provide. Some will even work
for free in order to get recognition and a thank you letter, which will be
included in parole and clemency petitions (especially important to our
