** * ========== * ** * * Uhm, Plain Ol'? What myths? What failed societies? * *Are you suggesting that the current Western societies and culture that has been successful and that you currently adhere to is a failure? I am not opposed to equal rights. I am one who advocates and fights daily for individuals' equal rights. What I am opposed to is "additional rights" Any Gay man or Gay woman has the same right as you and I do today, to go and marry anyone that they choose to marry. As long as it fits the definition of marriage. You and others wish to change the definition of marriage, which I am opposed to. Where we do agree, is that government should not be involved in any "Marriage". I can understand the need for the government's involvement in civil unions, because of the propensity for these civil union contractual agreements to be dissolved and then, the need for court mediation or involvement.
