I don't see any reason why these couldn't be applied to D-Bus, so it would be possible to instruct itself to re-exec a new binary and transfer both open connections and state to it. I'll probably end up doing those patches myself at some point, since I need state transfer support in libdbus so that Upstart is restartable in-place. Scott -- Scott James Remnant sc...@canonical.com
