"What's going on?" Nick asked but got no answer since Derek hung up on him.
"Damnit..." puts the phone down then glances over at Frances. "I gotta go
back to the house, want to come along or do you want me to drop you off?"
<< Damn it Nick pick up, he thought viciously as the phone on the other end
rang. Just as his command was answered, rather rudely, Julia jumped up and
fled from the room. "Wait," Derek shouted after her. He lept to his feet
pursuing her, the phone still in his hand. She couldn't go out there! It
was getting dark and the woods on the island were no longer safe! Derek
spoke quickly into the phone, "I need you back here Nick. NOW!" Then he
hung up and barrelled out the door. "Julia! Julia, stop! This is
