She looked back the way she had run and then back at Derek, slowly shaking
her head but her voice broke "No.. not of you." Was it any wonder she was
freaking out? Alive, dead, alive again....

Her gaze first went to the woman but skimmed over her. Julia didn't know
what the woman was but knew she wasn't ... normal. But there was something
else......

Or she was just letting the rest of this waking nightmare affect her. She
closed her eyes and her shoulders shook. Then she steadied herself enough
to look at Derek and then the woman. Alex was here? Philip... Nick...

She swallowed hard and pulled up her own frame, needing to make it back
under her own conscious decision and movement. She didn't talk... she
wasn't sure what to say if she did talk. So she went to the one place she
had called home... to see if the people that had been her friends, her
family... her everything, could help.

She walked slowly, wrapping her arms and the sleeves of Nick's baggy
sweatshirt about her, fingernails barely peeking out from the ends of the
arms.

Derek fell into step beside her, making sure to keep himself between the two
women and hoping, he supposed, that this small action would make Julia feel
safer. He glanced at Zandra wondering if Julia had run across her files in
the archive at some point. How else could she know? "You don't need to
worry," he told Julia softly, trying to sound confident and authoritative.

He was relieved to see Nick's car pulling up out front as they approached
the house. This was going to be a shock for him. However, Derek was in for
his own surprise when he noticed someone with him. He glanced sideways at
Julia.

Derek
