Julia's gaze was turned down to the ground, her thoughts turned inward..
until she heard a familiar engine and slowly looked up. Her breath caught
in her throat and she stopped. Nick was getting out of the car, his gaze
turned toward the house.. and someone else had gotten out on the passenger
side......
She let her gaze trace over his features and wondered what was going to
happen next, at the same time feeling her stomach tighten and wanting to
call out to him...
Derek didn't hesitate at all in calling the younger man. He took Julia's
hand gently and led her towards the house. "Nick," he called out. "I've
got someone here needs to speak with you." As they reach the driveway he
looked over at Frances, "It's nice to see you again Dr. Carlton," he said
suddenly feeling a bit uncomfortable. "Could you excuse Nick for a moment?"
"Sure," Frances said as her eyed moved over to the figure beside him. She
suddenly felt a little weak. Wasn't she? Okay, things were getting a bit
to wierd for her, maybe the woman was a twin or something like that. Yes,
that had to be it.
Derek turned to Zandra, "would you mind entertaining Dr. Carlton?"
