Derek was in his study trying to sort out everything that happened in the
last few days. Things were insane, even when looked at by normal house
standards. How had Julia managed to return? Perhaps, she was sent for a
reason and if so what and by which side? Her appearance was so close on the
heels Zandra's arrival and the disappearing corpse, if it ever existed, at
this point Derek was beginning to have a bit of doubt about that one
himself. He was physically and mentally exhausted after so much activity
and hardly any sleep at all in 48 hours.
The sound of the doorbell dragged him out of his contemplations. Who could
that be at THIS hour, he wondered feeling a bit of dread seep into his
consciencousness. He dragged his weary frame out of the large leather chair
and headed to the door opening it with a bit of trepedation, but more
irritation. "Yes?"
