<<dats okay.. leave the mooshy stuff to the females.. we get more that way anyway :p>>   Nick took Julia's hand, pulled her close and hugged her. "I'm sorry..." She slipped her arms inside the jacket he was wearing and around him , holding him close.  Neither one of them needed to say anything.  It may had been years since she had been gone.. but the connection was still there and they could still both sense the other's feelings.  Nick held her, his cheek against her hair as she laid her head on his shoulder.   But after a moment and knowing Nick needed a break, Julia straightened and gave him a crooked smile and laced her fingers through his as she tugged him a little toward the door "The others are waiting downstairs and I'm still waiting for some mud."   Just then her stomach rumbled and she looked down at it and then up at him with another half grin "And food? Yeah, yeah?"   She was deliberately teasing him until, FINALLY, a ghost of a half grin peeked out and he followed her out.   The troubled look was still there, but something had broken through.   It was a start.
