Food, that sounded good specially since Nick hadn't had anything to eat since that morning so it was time to raid the kitchen!
Out of his room and down to the kitchen they both go.
A couple of minutes later, they enter the kitchen, Julia suddenly nervous at the sea of faces as she looked through them for Alex or Philip. She nodded once at Derek before looking at Nick and moving to sit at the island bar and letting him go to move around the kitchen. She had remembered the anger Nick had felt toward Derek resurfacing upstairs and hoped nothing happened now. There were three faces either sitting or standing in the kitchen she didn't recognize.

"Julia," Derek said gently, "this is Rachel Corrigan, Kat's mother." Then something occurred to him. "Do you remember me telling you that we were looking for a little girl in a red coat? Kat was that little girl." He didn't like the idea of bringing up Ireland at all, but he thought Julia really needed a frame of reference, so as not to think they had replaced her, because Rachel was not a replacement for her, just an addition to the group.
Julia regarded the woman for a moment and slowly extended her hand, and then clicked on something... "The girl from earlier... her name was Kat. That was...? the same one, was what she wanted to ask but stopped. This was a weird conversation to be having... but then again... how weird was it to return from the dead after so many years....?

Rachel shook the younger woman's hand. "It's nice to finally meet you." Rachel smiled at Juila. She hopped that the two of them could be friends. She wasn't sure how Juila would regard her...maybe she would view her as a threat or as a replacement Legacy member.
