Kat had asked her to come with her to the library so, with
a look back and Nick going with them, Julia followed.
She nodded at the two other Legacy Members as they passed
each other, Alex looking after them as they left most especially before turning
to Derek and nodding to his instruction about getting a room ready.
Something, she knew, had happened in the library with
Julia.. she had seen the quick expression the other woman had covered up.
She wasn't worried about it because she knew Julia and knew that the expression
was of mild surprise and maybe confusion... but with the way things were going,
Alex would feel a lot more comfortable to know what it was that had put that
expression there.
For Julia's part, she knew, because of the way Kat
had answered her question about being cold.. that something else was the reason
for the girl's earlier shiver. And something told her that it wasn't
because of the topic she had started either. Julia frowned a little to
herself but quickly cleared her expression until they reached the library and
entered.
"Kat... hon what is it?" she asked when they were inside
the library and Kat turned to her. She lowered herself so that she was eye
level with her again and gave her little hand a reassuring, gentle squeeze "If
something's wrong you can tell us."
She included Nick in, knowing Kat trusted him, and even
gave her the option "Or if you want I can go over there," she pointed to the
couch "and sit while you tell Nick. I don't mind."
