Kat had followed Rachel outside and she did like looking at the stars with
her mother. It sort of made her feel like they were all together and a
family again. However, it also made her feel rather sad and only, because
as nice as this new found ritual was, it was different from the way other
people usually lived and Kat for many reasons, just wanted to be like
everyone else for a change.
When they finished Rachel tucked the little girl in bed and read to her.
They had both forgotten about Julia coming to talk to her some more.
However, the subject slipped back into Kat's mind as she was about to fall
asleep. She sat up abruptly rubbing her eyes. Julia probably didn't know
she'd gone to bed. The little girl jumped out of bed and padded down the
stairs looking for her new friend. As she reached the kitchen (is that
where she was left?) Kat peered around the door and spotted Alex, "Hi Alex,
have you seen Julia?"
