Julia answered simply, offering Kat her hand and giving Nick a strange look.  He had never minded the good ribbing before but wasn't going to push "How about we get you back to your room before your mom finds out we're playing hooky.  We can talk some more in the morning over cereal."   Her expression, when she shot it to Nick when Kat wasn't looking asked what was wrong but she didn't ask it out loud as she turned and let Kat lead her to where her room was.       [tag]
