"Yep, I think you should
too," Kat said taking a cookie and giggling.
"Thanks, I didn't really mind anyway, I hate sleeping. All the good stuff always happens when I'm asleep. "At least I got to see some of it this time." "Yeah, well," Julia admitted, finishing off the cookie and
picking up one of the glasses of milk she had brought and washing it down "It's
not always good.. but nothing weird happened."
She figured, common sense would dictate it at least, that
Kat had seen more than her fair share of weirdness within the Legacy. And
Julia had been brought up that it was okay to be curious and even get answers --
so long as it was appropriate answers for a person's mindset and age.
Looking at Kat now, she could tell that the young lady could handle quite a bit
of the truth, but Julia wouldn't cross the line she was pretty sure Rachel
Corrigan had given to the other Legacy Members.
"We picked up a woman and Derek's having to help her
now. She had something with her and I'm pretty sure Derek's going to get
Philip to work on it since it has to do with ancient languages. He's
pretty sure that's what's making her feel bad."
"Actually," she added, knowing the girl also believed in
the Sight and like abilities "I believe it is too.. there was something weird
about the whole thing." She picked up another cookie and tapped it against
Kat's in a kind of 'cheers' way and took a bite.
She chewed it and swallowed before adding "But let's not
get too much into it.. I'd like my first night back without funky dreams.
I'll tell you what I can though because I know you're curious. You just
have to promise me a good, cool topic afterwards."
And she didn't want Kat to have nightmares
either.
