"Well that's settled then," I said with a smile. "I'll speak to Derek in the
morning and see if we can make it official." The least we could do was to
make her feel at home, give her a little security, even a home if she could
think of it that way. It was always nice to have youth around the place,
though I was apprehensive about dragging her into this world.
