((thankies hehe))
Nick listened to what Alex had told him, "We're getting out of here asap." he
told Alex then hung up. He looked up quickly when the bartender started
yelling at the psychos that had started the fight. nick glanced back at julia
when she started to giggle again. What does she keep finding funny? He
watched Julia answer the bartenders question with a wave of her hand. "Nah,
we can handle it from here." he repled... "You didnt win the game...I never
got a chance to play." Puts an arm around Julia and helps her up. "Are you
sure thats where you want me to take you?"

((hehe, Good job:) ))

Alex
"Nick? Thank God!" I breathed. "Listen Nick, there's someone...or something
watching you. You've got to get outta there now," I could see the shadows in
my mind clear slightly, for the first time getting a clear view of the
scene. "I can't explain how I know Nick, but I can see what he's
seeing...feel what he's thinking, and believe me when I say it's not nice."
I got a flash of Julia, the blood excited him, urging him on. "Please Nick,
get out...fast."

---------------------------------------
She touched her forehead and looked at her fingertips and then looked up at
Nick as his cell phone rang of all things. She started to laugh at the
cosmic joke there but quickly sobered as she spotted someone coming up behind
him to take a sucker shot --

"All right, that's enough!" the bartender finally made it over to them,
glaring angrily at the punks that had started the fight before looking at
Nick and nodding at Julia "Why don't you take her to go get her checked out,
Boyle. I would have been here sooner but a couple of these punks' friends
decided to try and take up my time."

The man looked like an older version of Popeye, squint and all, but he didn't
need the can of spinach to already look like he could kick ass. Julia
thought this and started to chuckle again, only to groan as it jostled her
head.

"Out and don't come back.. or I'll make sure each and every one of you walk
out of here needing a paramedic's help in removing the cue sticks from your
backsides. Now GET!"

They cleared out pretty quick and Julia nodded at the phone in Nick's hand
for him to see who it was, at the same time grinning sheepishly and touching
the corner of his mouth where another jerk had gotten in a lucky punch.

"You two need any help?" The bartender asked, wondering if he should call an
ambulance, to which Julia opted to wave off -- not trusting shaking her head
at the moment.

"I won that game." she teased Nick in a low tone so he could talk to whoever
it was that had called "But you can drive back home."

Boy did they make a pair there on the floor.
