Derek watched as Rachel and Nick drove off and he did notice Julia carrying
Kat inside out of the corner of his eyes.  He took a deep breath and looked
up into the early morning sky, running a hand through his hair restlessly.
He was calming down some now, though still slightly on edge.  "Perhaps we
should go back...and make sure Julia is all right," he suggested in a weary
voice.
