I put my hand to the bruise on her head, "something hit her," I said with a
frown, "or someone." I looked around the room nervously, "she's not in too
bad a condition, but we should move now...I don't like the idea of us being
sitting ducks." I looked up at him, "where shall we go?" I asked half hoping
that he'd say anywhere rather than the Island.

I stirred slightly as Nick shook me, "what happened?"
