He left leaving a message for Derek telling him that
he would visit again sometime. Outside he noted Ria,
he paused and thought for a moment on whether he
should approach or not. He wondered what the portrait
was going to portend to him. He didn't want to know
her though because then he would be hurt again like he
always was. That never stopped the burning curiosity
that his paintings caused. He wondered often to
himself if he hadn't this gift if those same things
would happen anyways.

Ria smiled halfheartedly flicking the cigarette ash onto the pavement.
Derek would be furious with her for leaving their guest alone for 4 seconds,
but then again she had not really done anything wrong. A painting was a
painting, so what was the big deal. Ria took another puff of her cigarette.
