Kat was quiet for a moment as she just stared at her mother her eyes growing
wider.  "We were just playing a game," she said.  "Miranda wouldn't have let
anything bad happen to me.  She's my friend."  The trust issue hurt, she'd
never heard her mother say such a thing before.  "You can trust me," she
said her voice growing softer.  "I won't go there anymore, but please don't
make me stop being friends with Miranda."
