How quaint it all was, the ivy...the way the sun caught the brickwork of the majestic building. Delightful. The comings and goings from the house had certainly been interesting. First Derek's feisty right hand man and his young assistant had entered the driveway, only to be met by a seemingly deranged woman running the other way...fascinating...and then another I didn't recognise had chased them, only to end up in the arms of none other than Derek Rayne...that dog! I chuckled under my breath as I watched the child play, "my my, such a tasty morsel...and all alone...how sad," I whispered to myself. I had to say, things were going swimmingly...and my surprise had arrived...already! that had been an unexpected twist, but I was sure it would only add to the muddying of the waters. This was turning into a day to remember, I thought as I moved closer to the child.
