Julia: The dreams were coming in more clarity and Julia stirred in her sleep - she saw Kat, Patrick, Rachel.. fire...... a face she couldn't see and was in darkness...... ... and Derek, first yelling but then still and motionless. It was this last image that had her sitting bold upright and gasping as she came fully awake, even if it was quickly fading from memory as she fall back against the bed and ran her hands over her face to try and get her bearings. Rachel had run off, Derek had brought Julia up to her new room.. and she had asked him to get Kat. She sat up again, this time slowly, and slid off of the bed, tucking the robe more closely about her and tightening the belt before moving to the door. She didn't know how long she had been asleep but she felt a lot better. Julia never did get into the habit of keeping track of the time it took to rest up from a mission or activity. She just did it. She mussed her hair and stretched as she started down the stairs in search of both Derek and that coffee. Derek: Derek sat in his study looking over what information Alex had been able to dig up on Anya. While playing the Egyptian stone game with Kat. It was an ancient toy that was still sold in toy stores to this day and Kat found it fascinating. Derek was rather interested himself. The set they had set up on the desk was actually an antique centuries old. "I'm winning," Kat said in a sing song voice. Derek smiled at her. "So you are, perhaps I need to pay closer attention. "I think that would be a good idea." Kat hadn't protested when he finally located her and asked her to keep him company in his office. He'd even subjected himself to a cartoon movie on television while reading through a book he had been trying in vain to finish. Julia: "Thank you lord for making coffee." she breathed as, following Jonathan's directions Julia headed toward Derek's study. She had been used to knocking but blinked in surprise when, stepping in front of the door way, it slid open to reveal those inside. "Star Trek." she commented with a chuckle, hand raised still to knock and other holding the mug of coffee. Her blue gaze moved into the room and met Derek's before she grinned sheepishly and lowered it "Can I have one of these?" Derek: "More of early super market," Derek said absently before looking up at her. Seeing her in his robe inevitably reminded him of what he had seen before that, which brought back all of the embarrassment he felt earlier, though he did his damnest to hide that. "If you like," he affirmed. "You look much better," he added and she did. The color was back in her cheeks for one thing. Kat: Kat glanced up and smiled at her. "Did you have a good nap?" She grinned and took another drink as she came in and sat in a chair next to Kat, looking at the game "Had a great nap.. hey you're winning." She sat so that her feet were tucked under the robe and legs folded sideways and gave Derek a teasing grin before tilting her head curiously to the side "So now I can have my own water heater and a star trek door. If I keep it up I should have a UV of my own and a life time supply of coffee!" She tucked the cuff and sleeve of the hand not holding the mug into her hand, using the robe as she had before, like a little blanket "Anything exciting happen while I was in dreamland?" That reminded her of the images she had had and her smile faultered just a second as she tried to remember them all but ended up shaking hear and concentrating again on Derek's answer. Kat: The little girl grinned up at her, "I know it. He's losing really bad too." She made her next move, which pretty much clinched her victory. Derek: "No it's been a very uneventful afternoon, other than finding Megan a job," he added. Kat: "We found her one too," the little girl put in. She was waiting for Derek to do something in the game, glanced at Julia for a moment taking in her appearance. "That's too big for you," she said finally looking at the robe critically. Julia: Julia took another sip of coffee and raised an eyebrow at the mention of Megan, curious to know how all of that turned out and then grinned and lifted a cuff and swung it a little "You don't think it's cool? Never need a blanket with this thing." She chuckled and wiggled her eyebrows, looking at Derek "I know.. I'll trade you the star trek door for this!" "Which reminds me." She said as she stood and absently covered a small part of the robe that had opened to reveal a knee and tucked stray hair behind her ear before heading over to the computer beside his desk and scooting a chair from a corner over so that she could sit in front of it "Mind if I shop the catalog?" "You have one move you can make to get out of that." She added, nodding her chin at the board as she set the coffee mug on the table next to her and rolling the cuffs up a couple of times to afford some freedom. Derek: "Really," he said studying the board closely for the first time. He honestly hadn't been paying much attention until this point. After a moment he saw the move and made it. Kat groaned and started looking for her next move. "Are you certain you want that," Derek asked her about the robe. "I've had it for a long time." It was still in good shape, but really robes rarely got all that much use. However,, it had to be at least as old as Kat. He was just attached to it, he supposed. And seeing as she was already online, he just nodded about the shopping. "I'll tell you about Megan later," he added. He had already initiated a background check, but was still baffled at her insistance that he provided her with all that information. Derek
