"Alex is involved with Nick," Derek told him simply, not that it really
matter. And in his eyes she too fell into the too young category anyway,
though that didn't really matter either. "Rachel and I would very likely
kill one another," he added with a wry smile. "Then who would look after
Kat?" He'd felt a strong responsibility for the little girl ever since he
found her Ireland. Milo's comment about Julia almost made him choke on his
drink, but he swallowed hard and managed to keep that from happening. He
was right after all. The trouble was Derek didn't like hearing it out loud
like that. "I am very aware of that, but you always did have a knack for
