Julia looked at the door and then back at Derek "We have the gatehouse we
can let Rachel stay in.. especially if she gets like she was just now, so
Kat won't hear it if it.. get's bad again."

"And I'd wait an hour at least before moving her, to make sure she's in a
deep sleep.. so maybe you guys can go downstairs and I can help Alex with
gettting her cleaned up?"

She touched his cheek with her other hand and then lowered it so not to run
the chance of someone walking in and seeing the small gesture. But her gaze
reflected what she was feeling as she spoke "And now you know she's not an
addict by her own choice so there's nothing you could have seen or known."

In other words she hoped he still didn't blame himself for what was
happening.

Derek:
That was where she was wrong. He did not know that. Not for sure. He
trusted Julia's instincts, but she didn't know the whole story. "We'll
see," he said putting a bandage on the worst of the scratches putting the
kit back where he found it. He opened the door and headed bakc into the
room. "Nick, would you please take a look around the property, see if there
are any signs of anyone entering who shouldn't be here?"

Derek
