Nick gave the demon a half grin, gaze showing the obvious lack of respect
and disgust he felt for the one that used to be a Legacy member "You should
really keep up on the news. Now step away from the butler and let me fill
you up with some more lead."
He was deliberately baiting him, having heard Derek behind him telling
Jonathan to move. He obviously had a plan.
"Welcome to the party, Derek." he said, covering Jonathan so that the man
could get away "We were just getting ready to say sayonara."
Derek:
"I'm glad I arrived in time," Derek said his hard gaze never leaving Horton.
"Jonathan get out of here," he ordered. "You stay back too," he added
looking deliberately at Nick. He didn't fault the young man's motives, but
didn't want any dare devil stunts when this could be handled quite easily.
