"Oh you will," Derek promised him. When Nick moved closer he lowered his
voice. "Alex..." he said by way of an answer. Now that Jonathan was safely
out of the room, he hit the intercom button opening a line to the control
room. To Nick he said. "Do what you can to keep him away from us."
Alex had seen the alert and was waiting for someone to call the Control Room
so when Derek did, his voice low, she was ready for it and answered it "I'm
here."
She kept her own voice low and swallowed, wanting to ask if everyone was all
right but knowing that now was not the time.
