Horton rounded on Derek, eyes flaring red as his form took over Megan's.

"How did you do it, Rayne? That bitch was supposed to die!"

He took a step forward and moved his gaze to the doorway "Where is she? I
could rectify the matter, maybe even make you beg for mercy."

"I'll start with this one." he nodded once at Nick before throwing his arm
out and sending the young man flying back into the far wall. Then Horton
turned to Derek "You're next."

He raised his hand, red fire-like energy dripping from his fingertips "You
can die knowing I'll treat her reeally nice."

Derek:
Derek dodged away from the line of power directed at him. "It will be a
cold day in Hell before I beg for anything from you," he informed his rival,
his own eyes flashing with acute anger. "Julia is not here, she had other
more important things to attend to. As for why she is alive, you've never
been able to complete anything you started Reed. So, I don't see why you
find this so surprising. You are unorganized, unprepared and sloppy. You
alway were."

Derek raised his voice enough for the open intercom line. "Alex, run
Julia's program kick out Horton." By now the woman should have some idea
what that meant exactly, though Derek realized it might take her a few
minutes since Julia was the only one truely familiar with that system.
