He settled back and watched her until he noticed they were drawing near to
the dock. Then he moved back to his seat and
refastened the seatbelt. Once Julia was buckled back in he pulled off the
ferry and drove to the restaurant while Julia read the manual, at least he
thought that was she was doing though he wasn't positive.
She felt the car being put in gear but kept her eyes on the page. She used
one of the pages from the vehicle's paperwork to bookmark one of the
sections she knew she'd have to concentrate on later. After a few minutes
of not being able to really concentrate she lowered the book to her lap and
looked out the window, watching buildings and other cars pass by.
