Julia met his gaze, stilling with Derek's hand on her shoulder but the anger
still smoldering in her own "That's not a cause. That's greed."
She would have said more and she was sure Derek was aware of the way she was
tensed.
"Sanctimonious ass." she muttered under her breath as she forced herself to
relax, at least bodily.
She wondered if Michael could find the painting though then dismissed it.
It wasn't as if he had seen the painting in the first place that she knew of
so there wasn't any kind of reason for a rudimentary link or knowledge to be
held by the Archangel.
Derek:
A slight smile touched Derek's lips at her words and he gave her shoulder a
reassuring squeeze, light enough for her to feel, but nothing anyone was
likely to notice.
