Derek looked at her thoughtfully, he wasn't sure it would be a good idea for
him to talk to Kat. He was still pretty upset about the entire event
actually and was likely to lose his temper.
"All right," he said to her. "I might keep Milo company until you go check
on Rachel." He could really use a drink about this point.
She met his gaze, her tone quiet "I'll let you know how it went and meet you
before going out to see Rachel."
If he were going to spend some time with his friend they'd either head
toward his personal study or billiards room but she wasn't sure which.
She was considering maybe going by the police station too, maybe talk to
Lyons one on one with what she suspected about him and his brother's death
and, already at an angle where the gesture wouldn't be seen she gently
tugged on his jacket opening and smiled a little, keeping her voice low with
a hint of a chuckle in it "Don't drink from any weird looking jugs, hmm? I
like you without having extra personalities."
