He reached his private chambers and let Julia go so that
the one walking with him could lock her into a set of shackles against the
wall. He picked up the drink that had been set out for him on a nearby
table and drank deeply, only to smile when finished and turn toward the woman
now secure and unable to move past the chains.
He spoke to his assistant but his gaze never moved from
his prisoner's "The girl that had the artifact.. ready her for sacrifice.
Have our new recruit take the artifact to the Legacy with the story that he had
escaped and needs help and have him invite you in. Bring Alex Moreau back
with the artifact. Make sure he does not fail."
"Then," he said the next part slowly, taking great
enjoyment in it "We will resurrect the Sire and make Derek Rayne pay for his
treachery."
The assistant nodded in a bow and left to carry out the
orders.
Which left Vampire and Julia alone.
He smiled coldly at her "And I will enjoy watching him beg
for mercy while I kill his lover and child. An added pleasure before I
kill him as well."
