Alex watched all of this, upset that the vampire had died but also thinking
of Julia's baby. Her fangs showed as she hissed to the others, Nick's neck
exposed to her and the man himself unable to do much against her inhuman
strength. Alex looked at Derek, voice low as she nodded to his right.
Let him deduct what it meant, the Vampire influence spoke within her, she
had a meeting with immortality.
And then she was gone, using the same inhuman ability and disappearing with
Nick down another tunnel, her movements a blur to them.
Derek:
"Alex, don't do this," Derek said to his colleague just before she vanished.
"ALEX!" Damn it where had she gone! He'd caught her gesture and deduced
that perhaps Julia was in the direction indicated, but why would she tell
him that and yet still take Nick? He turned to Milo, "See if you can find
them, we've got to stop her. I'm going to go this way to look for Julia and
the others. Keep your eyes open and be careful." He then headed stealthily
down the tunnel slipping behind any out croppings he could find and trying
to get a view of what was coming up. He kept his weapons at the ready and
mored silently.
