The ambulance made it to the hospital and Philip was checked in.
Jim watched as the woman was taken aside by an officer and the questioning
started. Then he turned to Sandburg "They're fine here and going to be here
for hours. Let's get to that house and find out where my niece is."
He then called to the officer that had shown up at the scene "You have my
information if you need me to do anything."
The policeman waved back and then turned to the woman "Do you know who was
driving the vehicle?"
Kristin:
Kristin sifted through various possible answers; since this was a such a
Legacy matter she didn't want to involve innocent people who could be hurt
simply because they didn't-couldn't-understand what was happening. She
wondered if Derek's old friend Frank would get involved with the
investigation; it would certainly make the situation much easier to handle.
"No, I didn't know him; but I can give you a description," she started to
describe the man, leaving out the 'vampire' details; the end description was
deliberately more vague than her actual recollection, but not so vague as to
raise any questions.
Just then the nurse left Philip's room, so Kristin quickly excused herself
and stepped into the room. "Hey there...gee, I've seen you looking
better..." Kristin smiled gently at Philip.
