She couldn't believe the audacity of the butler.  It was clear by the way Derek treated her when he got here, compared to how he practically brushed Julia off in front of his mother no less, that it should have been Julia the butler had distracted.   But if she said or did something now it would cause a fuss and she didn't want that, especially considering Derek's mother was there.   So she merely turned and left, nodding at the others with a polite smile, as she went to the room he had indicated and balanced the tray to knock on the door.
