"Come on, let's get out o' here before th' wicked one gets
her bearings again." He tried to get Reese to move although she was still
dazed. He looked at the others for help, hoping they had enough time to
get out of there.
Alex was already trying to get Milo out of the way but stopped when the
apparition showed up.
Nick had gotten up and motioned for her to stay put as he headed toward
Philip, helping Reese stand up. Milo seemed to be rooted to the spot so
Nick whispered into Reese's ear "Can you torch this place? Your mom said
that was the only way to stop this thing..."
He hadn't said it loud enough for Philip to hear and motioned for his
friend to take the lead in getting them out of there, again bending down to
whisper into Reese's ear "Come on, Reese, you can do it. I'll buy you the
biggest damned chili dog known to man if we get out of
this." |
