Another ball of fire and then another, Reese let her anger from the past few
weeks loose with each blast and watched as a chain effect happened. Soon
the whole place was on fire. The Aunt's cry was being buried by the sound
of the raging fire.

We better not be here when the fire department shows up... was her last
thought before she passed out from the exertion.

Nick was there and catching her as she fell, whispering "Remind me not to
get you mad at me."

Then he was lifting her and motioning for Milo to head toward the car "We
have to get out of here before anyone shows up."

So far, thankfully, it had happened so fast that even the neighbors hadn't
had a chance to come and see, it being the kind of neighborhood that houses
were some distance apart from each other and Alex and the others were
already taking off.

He got Reese into the mustang and in the passenger seat to where all he had
to do was lay her down once he got in and then motioned for Milo to hurry up
and get into his own car "Let's go!"

He took a quick look back at the house, or what was left of it, and knew it
was gone for good. Whatever had tried to take Reese had failed.

Nick put the key in the ignition and backed out of the driveway, only to
turn and, hoping Milo could keep up, took off.

Sirens could be heard in the distance.
